Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the Grumpy Old Man's Comics, Art & Collectibles website (the "Site") or placing an order through our online store, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our Site.

We reserve the right to update these terms at any time. Continued use of the Site following any changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.

Products & Pricing

We strive to accurately describe all products listed on our Site, including condition grades, descriptions, and pricing. However, we reserve the right to correct errors and update listings at any time. Prices are in U.S. dollars and are subject to change without notice.

Product availability is not guaranteed. Because many of our items are one-of-a-kind collectibles, an item may sell in-store before your online order is processed. If an item becomes unavailable after you place an order, we will notify you promptly and issue a full refund.

Orders & Payment

All payments are processed securely through Square. We accept major credit and debit cards. By submitting an order, you represent that you are authorized to use the payment method provided.

An order confirmation does not guarantee that your order has been accepted. We reserve the right to cancel any order at our discretion, in which case you will receive a full refund to your original payment method.

Washington State sales tax will be applied to orders where applicable.

Shipping & In-Store Pickup

We ship orders within the United States. Shipping times and costs will be calculated at checkout. We are not responsible for delays caused by carriers or circumstances outside our control.

In-store pickup is available at no extra charge from our Ballard location during regular business hours. You will receive a notification when your order is ready. Unclaimed pickup orders will be held for 14 days, after which the order may be cancelled and refunded.

Returns & Refunds

We want you to be satisfied with your purchase. If you receive an item that is significantly not as described, please contact us within 7 days of receiving your order.

To be eligible for a return, items must be in the same condition as when they were sent — unread, unhandled beyond inspection, and in the original packaging where applicable. We do not accept returns on items that have been further damaged after receipt.

Return shipping costs are the responsibility of the buyer unless the return is due to our error. Approved refunds will be issued to your original payment method within 5–10 business days.

All sales of sale or clearance items are final.

Condition Grades

We use standard comic book grading conventions to describe the condition of items:

• MT (Mint)Perfect, as-printed condition
• NM (Near Mint)Nearly perfect with minimal wear
• VF (Very Fine)Slight wear, still sharp and bright
• FN (Fine)Minor wear with no significant defects
• VG (Very Good)Moderate wear, complete and readable
• GD (Good)Substantial wear, structurally intact
• FR (Fair)Heavy wear but complete
• P (Poor)Heavily damaged or incomplete

Grades are based on our professional assessment. Photographs of the actual item are provided whenever possible. If you have questions about a specific item's condition, please contact us before purchasing.

Intellectual Property

All content on this Site — including text, images, logos, and design — is the property of Grumpy Old Man's Comics, Art & Collectibles or its content suppliers and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without our express written permission.

Product images of comics and collectibles are used for identification purposes. All trademarks and copyrights belong to their respective owners.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Grumpy Old Man's Comics, Art & Collectibles shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Site or purchase of our products. Our total liability to you for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid for the product giving rise to the claim.

We make no warranties, express or implied, regarding the completeness, accuracy, or fitness for a particular purpose of any information on this Site beyond what is expressly stated in product listings.

Governing Law

These Terms of Service are governed by the laws of the State of Washington, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising under these terms shall be resolved in the courts of King County, Washington.
